| Perfecting the Art of Animal Care, One Pet at a Time |
At P.S. Pet Sit, we take great measures to hire - and train - the most dedicated, kind, compassionate pet care professionals imaginable. We take the time and energy to foster our walkers' development as professionals within the pet care industry, which is unlike most companies in the Philadelphia area, and even the country. We fully invest in each of our sitters so that you can too.We have proven to be leaders in the local pet care profession in Philadelphia, by having incredibly knowledgeable walkers, stellar customer service and cutting edge green business practices, and unparalleled reviews from our short and long term clients. We have won awards for our efforts: "Best Dog Walking & Overnight Boarding in Greater Philly" Awards (Greater Philly Tails Magazine 2007 & 2008) and the BOOST Award (Women's Opportunity Resource Center 2009) but we dont stop there! We continually take measures to further our level of expertise in the field and in doing so, have become leaders in our communities. We have created a unique and complete Advanced Training Program for our staff members. What do YOUR walkers learn in our training program, you ask?• We provide seminars and classes specifically designed for our staff by local dog trainers and behavioral specialists, Ruth Cionca and Marisa Scully who address our staff's questions, highlight their abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and passions. They review general dog behavior, specific needs and histories of different breeds, training techniques, how to detect stress in an animal, how to create a relaxed and balanced environment for each dog, how to take precautions at the park and on walks to ensure absolute safety and fun, and in addition, we review individual cases experienced by the staff. • Each sitter completes Training in CPR and Pet First Aid through Pet Tech and The American Red Cross programs. • They study and train to pass the Accreditation program of Pet Sitters International, a thorough program that addresses all areas of pets, pet care, house sitting, liability, management, cleaning supplies, community involvement, pet first aid and client and customer relation skills. • We enable workshops to brainstorm and implement fundraising drives, campaigns and events to benefit local animal welfare organizations. • We research new and cutting edge eco-friendly pet products for staff to use and promote to our clients (for example www.poopbags,com - the TRULY decomposable and even compostible doggie poobags, which P.S. Pet Sitters use on a daily basis). • Our sitters are trained in pet sitting, pet care and dog and pet behavior with a training program designed for each individual.
We are pet parents ourselves so we understand what you want out of a pet care service: Our business model is set up so that you and your pets's safety, comfort and happiness is our First Priority. * We dont send random and new sitters in to your home every week or month. We do our absolute best to give you consistent caregivers so that a long term, trusting and fun relationship can be built - and that takes time. After all, they are going into your home and taking care of the things YOU care about most. We take that to heart and structured our business as if we were in YOUR shoes. * We dont wear or display our business name on our persons or car. We dont believe this is a safe way to advertise and our sitters are instructed to wear normal clothes, with their keys and P.S. Paraphenalia covered or tucked away. This is to keep you, your pets and your home SAFE. Our marketing strategy is to provide you with the most positive experience possible. Our goal is to keep YOU as a client -- not obtain more. We are committed to quality - not quantity - and our valued and loved clients benefit tremendously from that fact. * Before services begin, you get to meet the owner or area manager as well as the sitter(s) assigned to taking suberb care of your pets. If we have to introduce you to a new sitter within the first 6 months, it is free of charge. That way, we as a company KNOW YOU. You arent a number in the system - you are YOU, with your unique preferences and needs. And we are here to provide you with what you and your pets deserve: Dependability, Devotion and Dedication to making you both happy and stress free.

Lola
Lola is new to Philly from LA and is sweeping us all off our feet! She is thoroughly enjoying her walks as her mommy works hard on producing a tv show, and she loves to come to Camp to play with the other PS Campers. If you are around the Piazza, you are sure to see her. She is the sexiest boston terrier east of the Mississippi!
Henri
The doggie mayor of Northern Liberties, you will most definitely see him parading around town - either in Liberty Lands, Third Federal Bank, Hyperion Bank (what can I say, he likes money ;-) or at Fury Design. A stoic little guy most of the time, but when around other dogs or at the beach, he turns into THIS bounding, leaping bundle of joy you see above. Oh, Henri!
Enid
Ok, so seriously: Do you see this face? Enid has stolen our hearts, ran away with them, locked em up in her doggie hope chest and they are never to be heard from again. Walking, playing and cuddling with this little 14 week old is about the most fun you can imagine. We are some lucky dog walkers!!!
JD
Otherwise known as BIG LUG, he is frequent flyer boarder here at Camp. Ladies adore him, girls go batty for him and we people cant get enough of him. Favorite things: Fetching for a ball, taking walks in the Wissahickon and sleeping on Scott's lap. (I mean, he IS a Great Dane/BLack Lab mix, so he's not exaaactly a lap dog, but Scott cant resist!)
