Ever thought about being a professional dog walker and pet care provider?

We are now looking for an East Falls or Germantown resident to fill that area's dog walking position. You must agree to be available for walks Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm each week.


We're a bonded and insured professional walking service that serves NoLibs, Old City, East Falls/Germantown and Fishtown over to Fairmount. We're looking for dynamic, organized, and caring adults that have impeccable time management skills, experience walking and handling a WIDE variety of sizes and breeds of dogs and a genuine love for all pets. The company is a personal, client-focused business so a relaxed, professional appearance and people skills are a must.



YOU MUST POSSESS THE FOLLOWING:

1. Live in our service areas – (If you apply without mention of the address or area of town that you live in and/or you do NOT live within our service areas, we will not be able to review your application.)

2. Working knowledge and past experience with handling a wide variety of dogs of varying breeds, sizes and temperaments.

3. Be 21 years of age or older and pass a criminal background check.

4. Reliable internet at home and a printer.

5. Reliable personal transportation (not borrowed or shared).

6. Reliable cell phone with an unlimited texting plan.

7. The ability to manage your own schedule, and complete assigned visits in a timely yet thorough manner. This position requires impeccable attention to detail.

8. Strength and confidence in handling various breeds and sizes of dogs, stinky situations, and a variety of other possible situations that may arise with pets—the list is endless =)




THE IDEAL APPLICANT WILL ALSO HAVE:

• The desire to work with a supportive, professional company that encourages ownership in your work and is interested in making dog walking their career.

• Love of ALL pets, and all breeds of dogs.

• Previous or current pet ownership as an adult (owning a pet as a child doesn't count; We need to know you can relate with our clients who are adult pet-owners).

• Clear communication skills (written and verbal) for interactions with pet parents and with the office.

• Willingness to clean up after pets.

• Desire and ability to study for and pass the Pet Sitters International Accreditation Program. Willingness to obtain a CPR and Pet First Aide Certification through the American Red Cross.

• Commitment to work with our company for at least one year.




BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

• A sense of humor that relates well in person and in writing. Creative and descriptive writing skills will be used daily. Great penmanship.

• Knowledge of pet products, different kinds of foods, leashes, toys, training techniques, behavioral issues, etc will make you an even greater asset to our knowledgeable team.

• Knowledge of non-Cesar, non-"dominance" theory training techniques.
